Heather and I divulge the secret in scoring men, bring back old school hip hop, and attempt to chase out the raccoon in her house. If this episode had a name, I’d call it the realest one yet.
In this webisode, we tour Steve’s art studio / workshop, make a coffee cup fit for a queen, and find out Steve’s secret talent. We also re-create the pottery scene from the movie “Ghost” with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. That’s a hysterical must-see!!!
I have always been a fan of supporting small businesses during the holidays. But during Saturday’s filming, I realized I had never been to 4 of the 5 businesses we were featuring. It was then I understood. Shop Small Saturday was about more than just buying locally. It’s about exploring locally and knowing what exactly IS in your backyard!
We go artsy-fartsy this week as we tour artist Jerika Broussard’s hippie shotgun home. We see naked people art and try on some of the wildest shoes I’ve ever seen. Jerika also takes us to her mural at Fishbone Alley and signs her name to it right here on the show!! If this Mississippi girl isn’t a stereotype stomper, I don’t know who is.
On this webisode we meet the one and only Jonathan Brannan… a millennial TV reporter who is making news cool again. Jonathan works for WLOX-tv in Biloxi. He also sings with the Coast Big Band and has a terrific voice!
I’ve always wanted to drive an antique car at Cruisin’ the Coast in South Mississippi, but most car enthusiasts are a bit too scared to lend me the keys to their precious rides, if even for 5 minutes! Special thanks to Randy & Kim from Brooklyn and Thelma & Louise from Pensacola who had the guts to allow me to drive their beloved rides.
I bet you never dreamed I’d be interviewing a 5-year-old, but the day has come. And honestly, it’s my cutest interview ever. Ladybug, also known as the Fashion Doll, has over 50,000 followers, fondly referred to as her Ladybuggers. She was even the youngest model signed to her agency, and was recommended to me as a must interview. As a singer, fashion model, and overall personality, Ladybug is wowing her fans by simply being herself. What’s fascinating about Ladybug is her ability to fearlessly belt out Somewhere Over the Rainbow right after giving me a tour of her fairy houses and favorite toys.
Robby has become an entirely different person since High School. One hundred pounds less of a person, to be exact. He has defied a HUGE stereotype of Mississippi: obesity. Since his transformation, he’s now a best selling author, coach, and personal chef at his own company, The Struggle is Real, Fresh Foods.
On this webisode we’ve got Part Two of the Party of the Century! If you missed the event at Centennial Plaza (formerly the VA Hospital) then you missed out! But don’t get FOMO- we captured it on video just for you. And if you were at the celebration, who knows you might be on this video. Now be sure to be a real Mississippian and share it with your momma and them!
