MS Congeniality – Jaimee Dorris May 25, 2017 - As it turns out, I’m not the only person out there trying to celebrate the Mississippi people, places and things that make life here so quirky and wonderful. And speaking of quirky, I’m about to introduce you to one of most interesting self-appointed Mississippi Ambassadors I’ve run across so far while editing MadeInMississippi.us. Her name is Jaimee Dorris but you can just call her MS Congeniality! (But, don’t ever, ever call her bashful!)
Big Crowds Expected at Bicentennial Celebration April 26, 2017 - "Miss Issippi," the official host of the bicentennial party, tells News 25 it’s the perfect event for the whole family and a great opportunity to have fun while learning about our state’s history. Miss. Issippi Jaimee Dorris said, “I think this is a great time to stop and celebrate not just where we’re going, but where we’ve been and where we are today. I think it’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate 200 years. I also think it’s really cool that they asked me to be Miss Issippi because there’s not going to be another one for 100 years so I feel like I have a century reign. I think that’s so awesome.”
You know her as ‘MS Congeniality,’ but soon she will be ‘Miss Issippi’ April 24, 2017 - Jaimee Dorris hosts the online series “MS Congeniality,” which streams on both Facebook and YouTube. She’s ready to take on what could be her most challenging role yet — playing the part of the century-old “Miss Issippi.” She’ll serve as hostess and mistress of ceremonies for the bicentennial bash at Centennial Park in Gulfport on March 31 and April 1.
Coast Observer Features MS Congeniality January 3, 2017 - BY APYRL HALL - As Jaimee Dorris entered the Cat Island Coffee House in Pass Christian for our interview, it was evident why she’s the perfect host of the new web series MS Congeniality. She was instantly recognized by the staff. The shop owner left what I presume was a business meeting to come and say hello, including a quick twirl and dance right there in the middle of the coffee/bookstore. I got the impression this fun-loving, kind, and curious, woman sets her own rules. I had yet to introduce myself, but as we talked I found I wasn’t too far off the mark.

Pivoting into something else. Building a brand that lasts. Our guest, Jaimee Dorris, wants everyone on the Mississippi Gulf Coast to know her name. And she’ll get there. By building a stage, one audience member at a time.
MS Congeniality Launch Article in the Sun Herald November 21, 2016 - BY JUSTIN MITCHELL - She’s a South Mississippi native who has lived in all three Coast counties, and she’s fed up with the way Mississippi is perceived by national media and the rest of the nation. Equipped with her wit, a background in journalism, a team that focuses on web development and design and a closet full of ball gowns, Jaimee Dorris is doing something about the negative stereotype of Mississippi.
Emcee Fundraiser Gala for Bethesda Free Clinic October 18, 2016 - The Bethesda is the only 100% free clinic on the Gulf Coast that gives services to anyone regardless of financial ability or need. They provide free basic primary health care services, including medical, dental, and wellness counseling for all. Every fall they host a fashion show to raise money for the clinic. This year I was given the opportunity to emcee the event. The show was a success and raised thousands for the mission.

Supporting Amtrak’s Return to South Mississippi February 17, 2016 - It's the Amtrak Inspection Train. I got on the train and rode all the way to Pascagoula, MS, my old stomping ground. The ‪#‎amtrack‬ officials treated me like the Gulf Coast queen and escorted me everywhere. I love representing all of the fabulous married women on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!
